Assist with marketing efforts of The Arc Greater Twin Cities and The Arc’s Value Village thrift stores on a variety of digital modalities. The Digital Marketing intern focuses on branding and communications of The Arc’s Value Village thrift stores with an emphasis on search engine optimization (SEO). Position is also responsible for positively increasing the presence of The Arc brand online and reports to Retail Marketing Coordinator and the Director of Marketing and Strategy.
Responsibilities:
Create and enhance Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for The Arc’s Value Village thrift store brand and AGTC
Manage and update web content related to Arc’s Value Village
Compile and share Google and social media analytics of The Arc Value Village brand
Research, compile and share Yelp/Google ad analytics related to Arc’s Value Village
Compose, manage and deliver email marketing resources to the general public related to Arc’s Value Village
Create news-worthy stories, posts, tweets or interest items to be uploaded on The Arc’s new media pages
Participate in New Media Work Group meetings; share results of SEO and analytics to team
Increase member and supporter participation in new media platforms
Other duties as requested

Qualifications:
Experience with SEO, HTML modification, links enhancements, etc. This position is for individuals who can demonstrate experience with SEO and making improvements to enhance SEO.
Excellent project management, problem solving and time management skills
Committed to furthering Arc’s mission and acceptance and inclusion of the disability community
Ability to demonstrate initiative, work autonomously and multi-task
Must possess excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
Exceptional knowledge of new media and electronic communication systems
Experience utilizing new media data tracking and evaluation tools such as Google Analytics, preferred
Passion for and experience in communications and storytelling are the best fit for this position
Student pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Community Relations or related field preferred
Time Commitment: A digital marketing focused position for the 2017-2018 school year. Must be available 2-3 days and 10-12 hours a week. Hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm with occasional evenings and weekends if needed. An exit interview will also be conducted to gauge intern experience and to make recommendations for improvement. Includes a $1000 stipend per term or the utilization of work study if eligible.

The Arc Minnesota is a statewide nonprofit organization that works to promote and protect the human rights of people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Arc helps people navigate systems while working to advance social change centered in justice, equity and belonging in community. Arc's Value Village is a public awareness and revenue generating vehicle for The Arc Minnesota. Arc's Value Village accepts clothing, housewares, art, media, books & related items and sells those items to the community.
