If you are an experienced plumber, or perhaps a retired electrician, or spent years as a carpenter, we would love to hear from you. We have a dedicated staff of fantastic men and women on our maintenance teams, many of whom are formerly homeless and learning a new job skill, that could benefit from your experience and talent. If you are willing to spend time sharing your knowledge through small group trainings, or even in a one on one setting, we would truly be grateful. This would occur at our shelter in the lower east side near Bowery & Bleeker between 8am and 4pm, Monday through Friday (though we are happy to work with your availability).
