Ensure this beautiful area in the shadow of Mount Evans is preserved for years to come!
About the Stewardship Site:
Sitting just outside the Mount Evans Wilderness, the Warren Gulch Trail offers hiking and mountain biking access to superb high-mountain terrain right in the Denver Metro Area.
About the Volunteer Experience:
Volunteers will work in small crews to address trail maintenance needs ranging from basic tread and corridor repair, to creating drainage and erosion control structures. Tasks will be physically moderate or difficult in nature. Make the Front Range your basecamp for this exciting volunteer day trip!
About the Overall Impact:
With its close proximity to Denver, trails in and around the Mount Evans Wilderness see a high amount of use in the warmer months. On the Warren Gulch Trail, mountain bike use in particular has soared in recent years. Increased usage means increased potential for trail damage. Volunteers' efforts will help ensure that the Warren Gulch Trail can sustain heavy traffic while offering a safe and pleasant hiking and biking experience for many years to come.
