Are you at least 15 years or older and interested in volunteering at Comic Con on Saturday April 14?

If so you must attend the mandatory orientation on Monday April 9, from 7-8:30pm at the Tysons-Pimmit Regional Library.

Come to the orientation prepared to select your volunteer shifts for Comic Con. The event is from 10am-3:00pm and volunteers will be needed to work one or more hour-long shifts between the hours of 8:00am-4:00pm.

Volunteers must work a minimum of one hour, but can work as many shifts as they would like throughout the day.

Purpose
Love comic books? Sci-fi? Fantasy? Anime? Become a volunteer for Fairfax County Library's second Library Comic Con! The event will take place on Saturday, April 14th and will be held at George C. Marshall High School in Falls Church.

Duties
We need volunteers to help with setup and takedown, direct traffic in the parking lot, monitor rooms during workshops and panels, help kids discover their powers in Superhero Training Camp, and staff the hallways and welcome tables to answer questions of fellow Con attendees.

Benefits
Volunteer for a few hours and then join us for a fun day of fandom celebration!

Qualifications
Must be at least 15 years old. Enthusiasm for comics and other fandom genres is a plus. Volunteers should have a friendly enthusiastic attitude, be willing to communicate with patrons and staff, be able to follow directions and be able to perform duties independently in a fast-paced environment.
