Volunteer Opportunity: Storage Room Organizer Are you looking for a way to give back to your community and make a difference in the lives of others? If so, we are looking for volunteers to help organize our storage room at the Norristown Hospitality Center. The storage room is a vital part of our operation, but it is currently in need of some organization. As a volunteer, you would be responsible for sorting and labeling items, creating a system for tracking inventory, and making sure that the room is clean and organized. We are looking for volunteers who are:

  • Organized and efficient
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented and have attention to detail
  • Available for 2-3 hours per week

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. Training will be provided. This position requires a background check. Flexible schedule...volunteers can help out during our operating hours of 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Motivated by God's love, the center provides basic needs and social services to empower those experiencing homelessness and poverty.

Description

For over 30 years, the Norristown Hospitality Center has continued to be a place of hope and support for the mentally ill, unemployed, homeless, and low-income. Each day we have between 85 and 122 people sign in to use our free services, available five days a week. Services include: breakfast, hot showers, mail services, counseling, lockers, emergency food baskets, legal, medical & mental health referrals, case management, and afternoon programs aimed to strengthen life skills. Breakfast is served Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 8:00 am.
