The VP of Business Development is responsible for developing partnerships with foundations, governments, nonprofits, corporations and individuals. You will be identifying, developing, and closing partners and customers for our suite of community-engagement tools. This position reports directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Spearhead business development initiatives that are consistent with overall strategy

· Prospect and cultivate relationships with foundation staff and individual donors

· Report on development progress against targets

· Drive all phases of business development, including research, market analysis, due diligence, and evaluation of partners

· Proactively identify key growth areas and evaluate opportunities to build market share.

· Build excellent working relationships at all levels while coordinating integration planning of new businesses

· Prepare and submit foundation grants and corporate requests

Desired Skills and Experience

· Minimum 3-5 years experience in fundraising

· Minimum 3-5 years sales, marketing or business development experience

· Strong verbal and writing skills and effective communication of the GreatNonprofits mission

· Strong public speaking skills

· Successful track record of business development, account management and sales strategy

· Excellent organizational and analytical skills and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

· Prior work or volunteer experience at a nonprofit

· Familiarity with fundraising required.

Compensation and Benefits:

· Compensation: $70-90K (as a nonprofit, our salaries are below-market).

· Flexibility in schedule and your working hours

· Health insurance

· Two weeks paid vacation, plus sick and holiday leave
