We hope you can take time to help us at the 2017 Home & Garden Expo! Volunteers are very special to us and we want your volunteer role to be a rewarding one. Volunteers will be needed for exhibitor set up, information booth, face painter, parking, set-up, and the list goes on!

Volunteers must be 14+, under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Location: 1900 Campus Commons Drive, Reston, VA

Date: Saturday, September 30 - Rain or Shine

Volunteer Hours: 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

The Reston Home & Garden Expo is a one-stop shopping resource for homeowners and residents interested in the latest home improvement, remodeling and gardening products and services. "How-to" workshops and much more will be offered throughout the day.

Volunteers will be assisting with the following tasks:

Information Booth: 9:30 a.m. - Noon OR Noon - 3 p.m. (2 shifts)
-Provide visitors with general event information.
-Direct visitors to the location of kid's area, demonstrations, workshops, exhibitor booths, food stations, and restrooms
-Direct questions to RA staff as needed.

Face Painting: 9:30 a.m. - Noon OR Noon - 3 p.m. (2 shifts)
-Paint simple animals and designs on children’s faces or hands. Sample designs will be provided. Minimal artistic skill necessary. Supplies provided.

Set-up: 7 a.m. - 9 a.m.
-Help vendors and staff set up tents, tables and chairs.
-Help vendors unload their supplies and equipment from their vehicles.

Breakdown: 3 p.m. - 4 p.m.
-Help vendors and staff take down tables, tents and chairs. -Help vendors load their supplies and equipment into their vehicles.

Parking: 10 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. & 12:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. (2 shifts)
-Volunteers are needed to help direct traffic coming into the parking lots.

Floaters: 9:30 a.m. - Noon OR Noon - 3 p.m. (2 shifts)
-Assist where needed in multiple areas of the event.
