The Talking is Teaching Ministry, in partnership with the George Kaiser Family Foundation and Tulsa EduCare, encourages parents and guardians of 0 - 5 year-olds to make reading a priority with their children. During each monthly session, our volunteers read age appropriate books to these students as the children’s parents read along with their own personal copy of the book. Again, the aim is for the parents to mimic this practice at home with their children. Additionally, our volunteers provide 5-minute parenting tips that give these parents ways to deal with the different emotions that the children may be experiencing in their daily lives.
