Recycling and Composting Mentor

Lunch time mentor is needed to teach 4th-6th graders about recycling and composting during our Spring Field Trips (please note that this volunteer opportunity requires some public speaking). Volunteer will explain what items can be recycled, go to the compost, or be placed in the trash and help students sort their lunch items into the appropriate bins.
Think you might not have the skills needed to help out? Don't worry! Training is provided. The only requirement is enthusiasm and willingness to commit to volunteering.
Time Commitment: 1 hour, flexible days. Lunch break for the kids are typically 30 minutes but start times range from 11-12:30. Please note that you do not need to commit to each day; when signing up, please specifiy which dates you want to volunteer for. Upcoming field trips are scheduled for the following days in 2019:

Description
Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge, founded by President Theodore Roosevelt on February 25, 1909, is one of the oldest refuges in the National Wildlife Refuge System (NWRS).
Managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the System preserves a network of lands and waters set aside for the conservation and management of the nation's fish, wildlife, and plant resources for the benefit of present and future generations.
