Second Chance Thrift is seeking energetic, dedicated volunteers to help make a difference! Proceeds from the store benefit ReVive Center for Housing and Healing's programs and services for homeless individuals and families.
Volunteers assist with sorting merchandise, stocking merchandise, social media, maintainin store and backstock. Volunteers must be able to lift 20 lbs. Flexible schedules, fun atmosphere, great cause, and a volunteer discount!
Second Chance Thrift is located in Chicago's Near West Side neighborhood at 1674 W. Ogden Ave., with easy access to the Madison and Ashland buses and the Green, Pink, and Blue lines. The store is open Tuesday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
ReVive Center for Housing and Healing was founded in 1915 to help provide housing for chronically homeless families, very affordable housing for individuals at risk of homelessness, and outpatient addiction treatment as well as our legacy community outreach programs: Christmas Basket program, homeless lunch bags, and clothing vouchers.
