Novant Health Hospice has recently seen an influx of needs in the eastern part of Mecklenburg County. We are in need of volunteers living in the Indian Trail, Mint Hill, Monroe and Waxhaw communities.
We are desperately in need of outpatient volunteers, to visit with our patients to provide companionship to patients, and provide their caregivers a needed break. We also need volunteers to deliver flowers to patients in these areas as well.
We strive to provide our patients with remarkable care and help provide for their needs through volunteer services.

**COVID-19 UPDATE 3/27/20** During this unpredictable time, our needs for outpatient volunteers is greater than ever. With many community members practicing social distancing, caregivers are feeling more strain than they were previously without volunteer support, and patients more isolated and alone. Novant Health is updating their policies and precautions daily to ensure the safety of all team members, volunteers, and patients ***
We the employees and physician partners will deliver the most remarkable patient experience in every dimension, every time.
Providing care for a loved one who is sick and can no longer look after themselves can be one of the biggest challenges a family has to face. These conditions can arise from old age, severe illness or crippling injuries, but regardless of the cause, we believe that no family should have to face these challenges alone.
Our hospice services provide a wide range of services and care-giving that can help patients and their loved ones when it is needed the most. Comfort, compassion and dignity are at the forefront of the care we provide.
Our hospice care specialists provide care for terminally ill patients and their families. We know how sensitive these times may be, and our goal is to provide patients and their families with effective healthcare that will improve the quality of a patient’s last days.
We provide an individualized treatment plan to comfortably manage pain and physical symptoms of each need a patient may have. Our team is made of doctors, nurses, medical social workers, chaplains, grief counselors, and volunteers that work together to help patients live life as comfortably and fulfilled as possible.
