Begin Anew is a faith based education program working to empower individuals to overcome obstacles created by poverty. We provide GED test prep, English as a Second Language and Computer and Job skills classes to adults as well as mentoring and access to resources.
We are currently searching for summer volunteers to assist with welcoming students and other volunteers when they arrive. Due to facility rules, we must keep the entrance doors locked. Thus the volunteer will be in charge of greeting and letting in students and volunteers as they arrive. The greeter will also assist in directing students to the correct class.
Summer classes run from June 12th through August 10th and are held two times a week: Monday and Thursday evenings from 5:30-8pm.
Position requires volunteers submit an application and references and complete general orientation and training.

Begin Anew is a faith-based education program working to empower individuals to overcome obstacles created by poverty by providing education, mentoring, and resources.
Begin Anew operates programs at four locations throughout Middle Tennessee (Woodbine, Downtown Nashville, Madison, Franklin). Along with weekly Bible study and no-cost programming and care for our students’ children, we offer three education tracks in separate programs to men and to women:
- HSE (High School Equivalency)
- ELL (English Language Learners) accommodating three levels of instruction
- Computer and Job Skills Training
