Youth Services for Oklahoma County works with young adults and their families through a variety of programs including outpatient behavioral health counseling, independent living classes, and our on-site youth shelter. We work to advocate, intervene, educate, and counsel youth and families to make a positive difference in their lives.
We are currently looking for a Volunteer Coordinator. This individual would be a volunteer themselves, and would ideally be in the YSOC office 2 - 3 days a week. This opportunity has a flexible schedule.
As Volunteer Coordinator you would be in charge of:
Working with internal staff to identify where volunteers can be utilized
Recruitment of new volunteers
On boarding of new volunteers
Management of group and administrative volunteers
Liaising between volunteers and staff members when necessary
Facilitating off boarding of volunteers
Addressing volunteer-related concerns if they arise
We are looking for someone who:
Is at least 21 years of age
Has valid drivers license
History of volunteerism
Ability to be self-directed
Desire to work with people
Previous experience managing others is preferred
Ability to commit to this opportunity long-term
