Many Salvation Army Community and Worship Centers throughout the Twin Cities are looking for volunteers who can assist with Summer Day Camp Programs. Most locations serve elementary aged children all day with Day Camp activities. Volunteers are needed to asisst directors in planning, watching and interacting with the children, and setting up, cleaning, and teaching different activities. Some locations also need chaperones for field trips.

If you can commit to a week, or even a month to help meet the needs of the staff in charge and the children benefitting from our programs, please contact us!

Description

The Salvation Army offers social services and recreational programs with the goal of addressing specific physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs of each family, individual, child/youth, or elderly person. Services provided include, but not limited to: emergency food shelves, school supply programs, rental/utility assistance, educational programs, outreach to the homeless, family and youth camping, community center programs, Christmas assistance programs, nursing home visitations, corrections programs, and disaster services. We are Here to Help!
