MCS-T.O.U.C.H. is a Nonprofit Organization serving at-risk and vulnerable populations in Franklin County, Ohio. Our mission is to "reach out and touch" the lives of individuals and families, empowering them to achieve self-sufficiency, positive relationships, and economic success.

Recently we have seen a huge increase in the number of clients who suffer from the Heroin and Opiate addiction. It is not necessary to describe the pain, and suffering associated with this epidemic. We all know the devastating impact it is having on our entire community. The fact is the issue is beyond an epidemic. The good news is, MCS-T.O.U.C.H., has adjusted to this community need.

We have opened 3 Sober Living Houses with the capacity for a total 15 beds available for those who complete Detox and desire to continue their sobriety. The house residents have been sober and working hard in confined settings for approximately 6 months and are now being released into to the community. One of the primary house eligibility requirements is that they have a Sponsor within 2 weeks.

As an agency, we understand and value the importance of anonymity in the NA/AA program and willing to support the relationship as you deem fit. Our goal is to connect willing and serious sponsors with serious and willing residents offering another level of accountability. We believe this could be a unique relationship when matching serious sponsors with serious clients with a serious agency focused on winning lives back from the opiate war. Our clients struggle with finding GOOD Sponsors. Will you help us-help them which helps the entire community?

Mission Statement

T.O.U.C.H. (Teaching Opportunity Unity by Connecting Hearts) serves at-risk and vulnerable populations in Central Ohio. Our mission is to "reach out and touch" the lives of individuals and families, empowering them to achieve self-sufficiency, positive relationships, and economic success. We help to restore communities by restoring lives.

Description

MCS (Metropolitan Community Services) was founded in 1984 to serve vulnerable populations in the Columbus area. In 2008, T.O.U.C.H. (Teaching Opportunity Unity by Connecting Hearts) joined MCS to provide mentoring and workforce development to formerly incarcerated men and women.

Originally focused exclusively on reentry, T.O.U.C.H. expanded its services to at-risk youth in 2010. Our agency now provides mentoring, workforce development, educational guidance, case management, and basic needs assistance both to low-income youth and to pre- and post-release adults.
