OME is holding a Summer of Skills camp for youth ages 6-18. Campers will spend the week (9am-3pm) learning all the skills within a STEAM program. OME is looking for camp facilitators to help teach different subjects of camp (science, technology, math with a heavy emphasis on hands on participation. Facilitators must be reliable and responsible, have experience working with children and/or young adults, familiar with developmental disorders, patience, flexible, a positive attitude, and have experience teaching STEAM programs. Camp facilitators will help keep campers motivated, on task, and will assist in modifying any tasks necessary. Assistant is needed between 8:30am-3:30pm (not needed the entire duration, just for a class block during that time).

Description
OME provides year round activities and opportunities are created for individuals with developmental disabilities, such as Autism, Asperger’s, Cerebral Palsy, and Down Syndrome. Our hope is that through specifically created events meant to engage and include these children, all under the supervision of volunteers, children with developmental disabilities can finally feel included, participate in fun activities, learn new hobbies, and make new friendships.
