As life quiets down in Green Valley and more than half of our volunteers go north, the Food Bank continues to bustle. Please join our incredible volunteers. There are opportunities for many different positions during the summer. Some require physical strength and some require none! Contact us if you are interested or want more information:
- Van drivers and loaders-spots are available on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday mornings
- Market day volunteers-from 12:30-5:15 pm on Thursdays or 8 am-12:30 pm on Saturdays
- Readers to children for "Storytime at the Sahuarita Food Bank"-Thursdays from 2:30-5:00 pm or Saturdays 9:30 am-12:00 pm
- Staff Community Events to collect food and promote the Food Bank-several dates throughout the summer and early fall.

The mission of the Green Valley - Sahuarita Volunteer Clearinghouse is to place volunteers with organizations that need their help.
Description
The Green Valley - Sahuarita Volunteer Clearinghouse was created to promote volunteerism in the Green Valley - Sahuarita Arizona area. The Clearinghouse works with 50 organizations, referring volunteers to them and helping them recruit and retain volunteers. The Clearinghouse was created under the auspices of the Pima Council on Aging, the Green Valley Council, and the Joyner Green Valley Library. It is staffed by volunteers and is led by an active advisory board. the Clearinghouse annually sponsors a "Volunteer Showcase."
