Farmers at the Midland Farmer's Market often have produce to donate. The Midland County Emergency Food Pantry Network is in need of volunteer to pick up this donated produce. Volunteers need to pick up a hand cart and boxes from our location at 503 Saginaw Rd sometime the week before their scheduled date. The volunteer needs to be at the Farmer's Market on Saturday around 12:45 to pick up the donated produce. The produce needs to be brought back to 503 S Saginaw Rd. EFPN will share this produce with other nonprofit organizations such as Open Door, Shelterhouse and Caregiving Network. A volunteer can work as often or as little as they want. Even commiting to one Saturday in the summer will be a big help. This is a good opportunity for families. We hope to assign two volunteers per Saturday.
