Sew For Hope provides training in marketable sewing skills to refugee women in the Nashville, TN area. After completion of the program graduates are awarded a sewing machine so they are ready to begin their sewing career. With a maximum class size of 4 refugee women, classes are small and easy for personal interaction. We provide all materials, training for instructors, substitute instructor pool and an interpretor/asst. instructor for each class. Our curriculum is very easy to follow with step by step sample cards for each project. Join us in our mission to make a difference in the lives of these refugee women.

Sew For Hope exists to enhance the lives of refugees and other marginalized groups of people through sewing training and equipment, encouragement, and development of communication, social and business skills through meeting together to learn English language and sewing skills.
Description
Sew For Hope is a nonprofit located in Nashville, TN who currently serves refugee women from the Nashville, TN area with training and equipment for developing marketable skills for employment or entrepreurship. Our classes meet Monday through Friday with a morning class from 9-11:45 and afternoon class from 12:15 to 3. The classes are taught by a lead teacher and assisted by a volunteer and interpretor. Volunteers are welcome whether they know how to sew or not. We have many tasks that don't require any sewing skills.
