August 15, 2017 6:00pm to 8:00pm 93 Howell Ave, Fairburn, GA 30213 (Gps: 89 Howell Ave, if you have trouble finding us). It is our Fall Readiness Event. Our volunteers will be:
Marking barcodes and packaging food/items
Moving and restocking product
Sweeping and mopping floors
Cleaning shelves and stocking product
Cleaning conference room and windows
Bagging and dumping trash
Unloading, cleaning, and reloading refrigerators and freezers
Loading items onto trailer We are in need of volunteers. Volunteers, please wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and closed toe shoes. If you can't volunteer, we're also in need of: Outdoor benches Outdoor bench tables Outdoor plants (tolerates full sun) Plant/potting soil We can accept court appointed volunteers, school/college required volunteer hours, and groups as well.

Description
Feeding GA Families (FGF) is a 501(c)3 state licensed non-profit food pantry aimed at combating food insecurity in our communities with the assistance of farmers, food banks, grocery stores, small businesses, and volunteers. Founded in 2010, FGF has expanded from feeding the homeless in Atlanta to providing cooked community meals, to hosting two weekly food pantries to those in need. FGF is a resource that the food insecure can utilize during their time(s) of need. Our services are provided with no questions asked, as our purpose is to aid those in need, when they are in need, without restrictions to residency, prior income, or family size.
