Volunteers have the opportunity to engage in all stages of food preparation: chopping, mixing, stirring, simmering, baking... you name it, and volunteers do it! Volunteers serve the meal they helped make to our guests, and then have the chance to share the meal with our guests and dine with them. After serving, volunteers help with kitchen clean-up.

Brethren Nutrition Program serves hot, healthy lunches to our neighbors in need on Capitol Hill.
Description
Brehtren Nutrition Program is a small soup kitchen in Washington, DC serving lunch four days a week. Our small size means that volunteers have the opportunity to talk to guests one on one. Volunteers are involved in preparing and serving the meal in addition to cleaning up afterwards.
