Function of Organization: Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota is a trusted provider of affordable reproductive health care services, education and advocacy for women, men, teens and families. We are a non-profit community-based organization whose volunteers help fulfill our mission to affirm human rights to reproductive health and freedom.

General Description: This position is great for those who are busy in life but still want to make time to volunteer with Planned Parenthood. As a volunteer office assistant, you will provide on-call assistance to a variety of our departments to help with the general function of the agency. This flexible position is designed to provide help in a variety of ways to all departments, thus facilitating the general functions of the agency.

Specific Duties:

* Assist in copying/collating materials necessary for meetings, workshops, etc.
* Participate in various stages of mailings (addressing, stuffing, stamping, etc.)
* Help with various data entry projects
* Assist in other special projects, such as sorting clippings, restructuring of filing systems, preparing workshop materials, or other such tasks that may arise

Preferred Qualifications:

* Previous office experience
* Computer and typing skills
* Attention to detail and organizational skills
* Ability to maintain confidential information
* Supports Planned Parenthood’s mission

Commitment:

* Minimum of 2 hours/week (opportunity to volunteer more available and encouraged)

* Must be available sometime when office is open (Mon-Fri 9A-6P)
