Function of Organization: Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota is a trusted provider of affordable reproductive health care services, education and advocacy for women, men, teens and families. We are a non-profit community-based organization whose volunteers help fulfill our mission to affirm human rights to reproductive health and freedom.

General Description: This position plays an integral role in the work of Planned Parenthood in North Dakota. As an Event Assistant, you will provide as-needed assistance with events we plan throughout the state. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): event planning, event set-up, tear-down, logistics, etc. These events are essential to help engage our supporters, donors, and patients in the state.

Specific Duties:

• * Assist in event planning - programming, promotion, catering, logistics, etc.
• * Participate in recruitment process - phone banking, emailing, word-of-mouth, tabling
• * Evaluate events upon completion - what went well, what needs improvement, etc.
• * Assist with other such tasks as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

* Previous event experience desirable
* Attention to detail and organizational skills
* Supports Planned Parenthood’s mission

Commitment:

* Varies based on type of event - some are reoccurring, some are multiple days, etc.
* Assist with a minimum of 3 events (opportunity to volunteer more available and encouraged)
