Function of Organization: Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota is a trusted provider of affordable reproductive health care services, education and advocacy for women, men, teens and families. We are a non-profit community-based organization whose volunteers help fulfill our mission to affirm human rights to reproductive health and freedom.

General Description: This position educates the public about Planned Parenthood. As a Community Ambassador, you will provide as-needed assistance promoting Planned Parenthood services, fundraisers, and events. This position is essential to help engage current supporters and recruit new ones.

Specific Duties:
* Place marketing material for clinic, as well as educational and advocacy services, around F/M
* Participate in recruitment process - phone banking, emailing, word-of-mouth, contact tables
* Invite supporters to join Planned Parenthood’s Action Network
* Keep track of RSVPs and complete follow ups/evaluations
* Assist with other such tasks as needed

Preferred Qualifications:
* Reliable transportation
* Friendly and outgoing towards strangers, ability to deal with a variety of people

* Able to answer questions about Planned Parenthood in a helpful, educated manner and redirect unknown questions to ND Manager of Public Affairs, grassroots organizer or website
* Supports Planned Parenthood’s mission

Commitment:
* Two events or actions per month (opportunity to volunteer more available and encouraged)

* Flexible - evening, daytime, and weekend shifts available
