Clean-Up Day at Old Fort Jackson Location: Old Fort Jackson (1 Fort Jackson Rd. Savannah, GA 31404) Time: 8 AM - 12 PM
Out of all the Coastal Heritage Society sites, the impact of Hurricane Matthew was the most severe at Old Fort Jackson. During the morning hours of May 20th, we are scheduling a time for volunteers to come out and assist with debris clean-up around the site. Food and beverage will be provided for all participating volunteers.

The mission of the organization is to provide educational experiences for the public through the preservation and presentation of the historic resources of coastal Georgia and adjacent regions.

Description

Coastal Heritage Society is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation founded in 1975 which operates five historic museums including Georgia State Railroad Museum, Savannah Children's Museum, Savannah History Museum, Old Fort Jackson and Pin Point Heritage Museum.

Coastal Heritage Society is frequently in need of volunteers to assist with the execution of our many themed special events throughout the year.
