ORGANIZATION: BACK IN THE SADDLE EQUINE THERAPY CENTER

Volunteers welcome for horse interaction/care and feeding, barn and farm maintenance, special projects Monday through Saturday. Horses are fed between 7 am to 9 am every morning, and again between 5 pm and 6 pm each evening. During these times a crew of volunteers works to keep the horses fed, happy. and trained.

No prior experience necessary, however horse-knowledgeable volunteers are welcome as well.

Fence repair, trails maintenance, painting, raking, mowing, weeding, garden upkeep are some of othe projects needed throughout the summer.

Mission Statement

To provide therapeutic riding and equine assisted activities to people 2 to 92 living with disabilities in central NH. In so doing to provide a quality life for our equine partners, and safe, effective therapies for our clients.

Description

BITS ETC was founded as a 501 c 3 non-profit in 2003, and has offered unique programs to people living with disabilities ever since. Our Board of Directors raises funds to provide the most effective therapies available at the least cost to clients. Scholarships and fund raising offer affordable interventions with the help of public support of our mission.

Our Ride UP program offers free(to the client) interventions to Veterans and their families, and Uniformed Professionals: Fire/Police/EMT.

A medical approach to horse interventions provides exciting programs for mental health as well as physical development.
