DKMS needs your help! I am looking for 2 - 3 volunteers to run a swab table at the Monsters of the Midway Cycling event on May 6th at University of Chicago’s campus from 7:30 am - 3 pm CST in honor of one of our patient’s Mark Scott who is searching for his potential life-saving donor match.

At DKMS, we work with patients that have blood cancers and blood diseases in hopes to find them life-saving bone marrow stem cell transplants. We are currently working with a champion cyclist, Mark Scott, who is in desperate need of a bone marrow transplant. Mark is battling an aggressive form of leukemia that has not responded to chemotherapy. A bone marrow transplant is his only hope for survival -- But no matching donor has been found. To help save his life, Mark's close friend, fellow champion, and 2012 USA olympic Silver Medalist Dotsie Bausch is working with cheeks. Every new registration increases the chance that Mark will find a life-saving match.
