There are two events to volunteer for Friends of White Rock Lake at the Bath House at the WRL Park.

Sat. Apr. 29 (2-6pm) Vounteer perks(pollinator book and other sustainable gifts)

Sat. May 6 (9:30a - 3p) Volunteer breakfast and lunch depending on which shift, morning or afternoon or all day.

Duties for each event; rotate breaks for Friends education table. Help folks find wildlife with Polli-Nation App and upload. Orientation upon arrival.

Friends of White Rock Lake (Friends) is an advocacy group that supports the Blackland Prairies Program in partnership with Dallas Parks. It provides year round support and education outreach activities for the long term care, protection, preservation, restoration, and management of the diverse, rare and endangered native plants and animal species and their habitats, and prairie and wetland areas that make up White Rock Lake Park in Dallas Texas. www.FriendsofWhiteRockLake.org Friends supports the Blackland Prairies Program, BlacklandPrairies.org The mission and purpose of the Friends is to fund year round programs to help sustainably support the cost of preservation and restoration through education and outreach, and to include continued research activity at White Rock Lake Park to bring back threatened, endangered, missing and even to possibly discover extinct species with a focus of carbon sequestration education. All donations to the Friends are tax deductible.

The FOWRL supports educational programs that work to identify and restore the native grasses, wildflowers, birds, amphibians, reptiles, insects, mammals, and all pollinators through the supporters of the lake and the community.
