Mission Statement

We were established in 2015 by the wife of a Lieutenant Colonel with the goal of aiding veterans and active duty military in Illinois. Having seen the hardships that our veterans and active duty military face on a daily basis she decided that she wanted to help and founded Support Our Soldiers Freedom, Inc. to distribute aid on a local level.

Description

"Support Our Troops" is a popular slogan. For some people, sadly, this is where their "support" both begins and ends. For other people, of course, "Support Our Troops" is highly personal. It may mean: "Support my husband or wife, my father or mother, my sister or brother, or my child" who are often deployed far away from their homes and families and are put in harms way to defend our Country, our values and our freedom

Such sacrifices should not to be taken lightly indeed, they are to be commended and supported. SOS Freedom Bridges the Financial Gap by Helping With but not limited to:

* Payments
* Household repairs or medically necessitated modifications
* Urgent or critical healthcare needs
* Counseling or support groups
* Transportation, automotive repair/needs

Although Support Our Soldiers Freedom, Inc. is a fairly new organization, we have already begun to make a big difference in the lives of servicemen and women. For example, we were able to make daily life a little bit easier for a mother of five whose husband was killed in action.
