SER-Jobs For Progress is seeking volunteers to help facilitate interviews for youth and young adults (ages 16-21) for the 2017 City of Houston Summer Jobs Program.

Thanks to generous financial support from the City of Houston, the program will help address the employment needs of low-to-moderate income youth and young adults by providing job readiness training, career exploration, and valuable real-world work experience. Hundreds and hundreds of youth will have an opportunity to interview for more than 450 positions, but we need your help! Help us prepare a new generation of professionals here in the city of Houston! We are looking to acquire volunteers for a variety of tasks---including, but not limited to:
  • Greeter/Guide
  • Registration Team
  • Document Screening Team
  • Volunteer Care Team
  • Photographer (Must have previous experience)

Dress Code: Business Casual is the required attire. We are trying to set the example (No jeans).

Parking is free in a parking lot on Crawford Street, directly across from St. John’s

SERJobs impacts communities and assists individuals to transform their lives through career coaching, occupational training, job placement, financial education and many other wrap around services!

We target the unique workforce needs of low-income Youth, Adults, Senior Citizens, Ex-Offenders, Veterans, unemployed/underemployed individuals throughout the Texas Gulf Coast region.
