With summer a month away, cookouts, vacations, and warm weather are soon to follow. Summer also can be the start of something meaningful like volunteering.
Habitat for Humanity is looking for volunteers who can help at their Aberdeen ReStore. The ReStore is a nonprofit specialty store that takes donations of appliances, furniture, and construction materials. Habitat sells the donations at a fraction of the cost. The profits are then used to build affordable and safe homes for low income families in Cecil and Harford Counties.
The ReStore has a plethora of volunteer opportunities ranging from customer service to donation processing. Volunteers are needed week days 2pm to 6pm and Saturdays 10am to 6pm. Volunteers can do 2hr to 4hr shifts.
