This is an academic student learning position that develops real-world skills in fundraising, donor management, major and individual giving, and fundraising campaign development.
Position: Development Intern

Description: Women Lead Oklahoma seeks a dynamic, self-motivated individual to assist in development efforts. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience community organizing, event planning, and fundraising.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the coordination of monthly Women Lead Network Events
• Process incoming memberships and donations with appropriate follow up
• Cultivate and maintain donor relationships
• Working with staff and interns to promote fundraising events via email and social media
• Providing support to staff and board the day of events

Qualifications:

• Be self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines and remain flexible
• Work comfortably in a team to collaborate with other interns and Women Lead staff
• Possess strong organizational skills and excellent communication abilities, both written and oral
• Have moderate experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Not be afraid to ask questions

Start Date: Position open until filled, requires 3-6-month commitment

Commitment: 8-12 hours/week, preferably twice a week in the office.

Compensation: This is an Unpaid/Volunteer internship. May be offered for course credit.
