This is an academic student learning position that develops real-world skills in communications, event coordination, and marketing.

Position: Marketing and Communications Intern

Description: Women Lead Oklahoma seeks a dynamic, self-motivated individual to assist in marketing and communications efforts. This internship is an excellent opportunity to implement different marketing and outreach strategies while promoting women’s leadership in Oklahoma.

Responsibilities:

• Aid in the marketing production process as needed, such as drafting and editing written content for emails and social media posts
• Maintain archives of all direct mail and printed and online materials, such as social media posting templates, editorial calendars, and press release templates
• Contribute posts to social media pages and update website as needed
• Enter and maintain data in NationBuilder and Hootsuite
• Keep track of social media posting schedules
• Provide organizational support as requested or necessary

Qualifications:

• A passion for women’s empowerment
• Firm grasp of available tools and platforms on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
• Completed college coursework in a related field preferred. (e.g. Marketing, Public Relations, Political Science, Public Administration, etc)
• Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of word processing, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Ability to communicate professionally both orally and in written form
• Willingness to ask questions

Start Date: Position open until filled, requires 3-6-month commitment

Hours: 8-12 hours/week, preferably twice a week in the office.

Compensation: This is an Unpaid/Volunteer internship. May be offered for course credit.
