We are seeking volunteers to assist at the Barbershop Harmony Society's Interntional Barbershop Contest, July 2 - 9, 2017 at Planet Hollywood with Ushering, Scanning and Door Monitoring attendee into the Axis Theatre for all contests and performances. You maybe required to assist with special situations. Contest/Performances take place at different times daily during the convention. A specific schedule will be provided for you based on your availability. Positive, outgoing and personable are just some of the qualities necessary for this job. This job requires standing.

We are also seeking volunteers to help expedite with registration. Some basic knowlege of computers is helpful but not necessary. Training will be provided on site on Monday, July 3 - specific time to be determined. These shifts will start early morning and run through mid evening. The assignment is broken into 4 hour increments but you are welcome to stay for more than one shift. With this job you will be the first people that our attendees see. Positive, outgoing and personable are just some of the qualities necessary for this job. This job will require some standing.

Description
Southern Nevada's premier men's a cappella chorus, Silver Statesmen , is an all volunteer chorus known for its thrilling, close harmonies and commitment to musical excellence. The Silver Statesmen is chartered as the Las Vegas Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society. We are the largest men's a cappella chorus in the State of Nevada. Proud to perform and preserve the unique sound of "barbershop" harmony, the Silver Statesmen also sings a broad repertoire of other musical styles. The chorus provides singing, music and performance education opportunities, as well as youth harmony programs in communities within the Las Vegas Valley and throughout Southern Nevada. A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the Silver Statesmen is self-sustaining through gifts, performance fees, admissions to shows, and sales of merchandise.
