Internship - Special Events Department
Summer 2017
Respiratory Health Association (RHA), 501 (c) 3 non for profit is searching for an intern with an interest in developing event and project management skills. The intern will participate as an active member of theSpecial EventsTeam while gaining experience leading up to our Summer Reception and CowaLUNGa Charity Bike Tour. Ideal candidate must be flexible with changing priorities, have attention to detail and willing to work in a team environment.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Attend all events and related event activities (see below)
- Help with duties related to the Summer Reception
- Work on various projects for the 21 st Annual CowaLUNGa Charity Bike Tour and be a part of the sites teams on event weekend.
- Assist with event supplies (inventory and ordering)
- Attend weekly department meeting
- Maintain effective communications with department staff
- Represent the association to the general public in a professional and knowledgeable manner
- Support Special Events Team with miscellaneous duties relating to other RHA events (Lung Power Team, Hike for Lung Health and Hustle Up the Hancock.)
Attendance required at the following events:
- Summer Reception (June 22, 2017)
- CowaLUNGa Charity Bike Tour (July 28-July 31, 2017)
Training Provided:
Intern will receive on-site training on event and RHA processes from supervisor and team members.
Terms:
Looking for 2 days a week/ 8 hours (Tuesday as one of the days preferably) and attend events listed above. June - August (exact dates are negotiable) Stipend provided.
