The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation GA Chapter begins ramping up the planning for this year’s Birmingham Ride for Kids2017, aiming to raise more money and elevate the experience from years past. We are looking for some motivated and passionate volunteers to join our 2017 Ride for Kids Task Force.

What is Ride for Kids? Ride for Kids is the longest-running, most successful motorcycle charity event in the nation. Since 1984, motorcyclists have raised funds to help children with brain tumors, which are the top cause of cancer death in children. No motorcycle experience is necessary to be part of our team

What is a Task Force Member? We are looking for volunteers to help plan, organize and execute on tasks leading up to the event. A sub-committee member also holds a key role on the day of the event. Sub-committee members will primarily focus in 1 or more of the following areas.

  • Recruitment
  • Event Day Festivities
  • Sponsorships
  • Star Families
  • Logistics
  • Volunteers
  • Media
  • Community Events

W hatever your skills and experience, we can find a role for you as a Task Force member of Ride for Kids Birmingham.

How much time will it take? We estimate only about 2-3 hours every other week depending on the tasks planned for that month. However, we do ask that you block out September 24th as you would have a integral role on the day of the event.

What do I get out of it? You get to see the product of all of your hard work. The smiling faces of the kids that you are helping makes it all worthwhile. Plus, you get to work with other passionate volunteers who dedicate their time in hopes of a better tomorrow.

How can I become a sub-committee member? Contact Emily Clark at eclark@curethekids.org to discuss how you can become part of the Ride for Kids Birmingham team!

Thank you so much for being a part of our mission!
