Become a Cancer Resource Center Volunteer at Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona in partnership with the American Cancer Society. This is a brand new resource center, and we are looking for dedicated volunteers to join us!

Assist cancer patients and their loved ones navigate their cancer journey by delivering timely information and referral to resources.

Enhance the quality of life for patients undergoing cancer treatment by the optimal utilization of American Cancer Society services and programs, community-based services and healthcare facility services. As a Cancer Resource Volunteer, you can help break down barriers to treatment, information and much more by linking patients to needed information (patient education materials) and ACS services and other appropriate resources.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to commit to a consistent day/time of the week (preferably 4-hour period) to volunteer at Center. (Operation hours: M-F 8:00am to 5pm)
• A desire to work with cancer patients and their families (or caregivers) in a hospital setting.
• Ability to communicate clearly in-person, via telephone and in-writing.
• Successful completion of all volunteer training and compliance with all Hospital Volunteer expectations.
• Must be 18+ years of age and one year post last active-cancer treatment
