This is a paid Volunteer Opportunity through Vista. NAMI Lexington is seeking an individual to provide full-time technical assistance to the Executive Director and the Development Committee to perform an Organizational Capacity Assessment. The assessment includes:
- Governance and legal structure; Financial management and internal control systems
- Administration and procurement systems; Human resources systems
- Program management; Project performance management
- Organizational management and sustainability
- Act as liaison to committee, maintain meeting minutes and distribute action items to members
- Assign deadlines, provide reminders, track member activities
- Maintain project timeline, arrange meetings and appointments
- Accurately enter data and compile progress reports
- Establish and maintain internal communications resource (i.e. closed Facebook group)

NAMI is the nation's largest grassroots organization addressing and advocating for individuals diagnosed with mental illness and providing support for their families. Founded in 1979, NAMI has affiliates in every state and in more than 1,100 local communities around the country. NAMI members work to provide support, education, and advocacy.
