JCHE is reopening our Resale Shop. We are renaming our Resale Shop in honor of one of wonderful residents, and we want to paint a beautiful shop sign with their name on it. We are looking for an artist who can paint a large sign to hang above the door. In addition, if you are interested, we also have residents who would love to join in on the painting to make this more of a group mural project.
JCHE provides affordable housing, programs and services for 1,500 low-income seniors across the greater Boston areas. Our mission is to give every senior the opportunity to live a full life of connection and purpose in a dynamic and supportive environment - we call this aging in community. With chronic loneliness identified as the biggest health hazard for aging adults, our model is critical in promoting healthy aging. We accomplish this by providing 1,200 units of superior affordable housing in Brighton, Newton and Framingham.

2Life Communities, a nonprofit organization founded in 1965, operates on the belief that all seniors should have the opportunity to live a full life of connection and purpose in a dynamic, supportive environment - a model we call aging in community, which directly combats the growing public health crisis of social isolation and loneliness amongst older adults.
At 2Life Communities, residents can step out the doors of their own apartments and find friendship, community, physical and intellectual stimulation, and a helping hand day or night. Serving a diverse population of 1,500 older adults, 2Life creates communities with a laser sharp focus on affordability - a tremendous concern given that Massachusetts is the state with the 2nd largest gap in the U.S. between seniors’ median income and the cost of living.
