ORGANIZATION: SLO NOOR FOUNDATION A NON-PROFIT CORPORATION

The SLO Noor Foundation is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization that provides high quality free medical, eye, and dental care to uninsured adults regardless of race, ethnicity, immigration, religion or socioeconomic status. Our team of volunteers, including physicians, optometrist, dentists, nurses, phlebotomy techs, and clerical staff serves San Luis Obispo’s uninsured by providing free primary, eye, and specialty care, along with education, outreach and advocacy. . . because no one should go without healthcare. Our free clinics operate solely on donations, grants from private individuals, businesses, civic groups, hospitals, and charitable foundations and fundraisers. Thus, we operate on an all-volunteer staff.


SLO Noor is in the process of creating and formalizing our development processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a fearless go-getter type who is great at building relationships and also resourceful and creative. Some training would be provided.


Position : Partnership Manager


Description: This position will take the lead on the volunteer staff development team for small business partnerships, corporate partnerships, and individual giving. You would contribute to the creation of a strategic fundraising plan. This individual would be working as part of a volunteer staff development team while being self-directed with the ability and maturity to work in a service and clinic environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing small business partnerships.

  • Research and develops means for corporate partnerships.

  • Contribute to strategic plan for individual giving.

  • Create resourceful ways for volunteers to participate in fundraising.


Requirements :

  • Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Drive, Mailchimp, databases.

  • Commitment to the values and mission of SLO Noor to provide quality healthcare to the uninsured.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.

  • Good organization and time management.

  • Detail-oriented.

  • Commitment to the values and mission of SLO Noor to provide quality healthcare to the uninsured.


Start Date : May 1, 2017


Commitment: We are asking for a 6-month commitment for this position 8-10 hours per week. If seeking school credit, this can be adjusted depending on the student’s schedule. This is an unpaid volunteer staff position.

The SLO Noor Foundation is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization dedicated to providing high quality free healthcare to uninsured people living within our community. SLO Noor Foundation depends on the involvement of volunteers to who provide a variety of services. Volunteers come from all walks of life, and a broad age range from 18 to retirees, and are all able to supply clients with services that would be difficult to obtain otherwise. Volunteer services cover several broad categories: Foundation Work, Fundraising/Public Awareness, Clinic Work and areas of special expertise.
