We are looking for a language instructor assistant to support the Oceanside Corps Community Center by teaching English to Mandarin-speaking seniors of the community who are learning English as a second language.
Requirements:
1. Must be available Thursday afternoons from 1-2:30 pm.
2. Must be available for a minimum of three months.
3. Fluency in Mandarin preferred, but not required.
Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Develop syllabus and assignments for students.
2. Provide one-on-one support for students learning English as a second language.
3. Instruct assigned ESL class for a minimum of a three-month period.
4. Counsel and support students in developing and accomplishing individual learning goals, as needed.
5. Document student attendance, progress, and areas of need.
