Position Summary:

Work with Catholic Charities staff and volunteers to assure that all volunteer positions are filled with capable volunteers who are well prepared, comfortable, and appropriately screened.

Duties (duties listed apply specifically to volunteers at the Fort Wayne office):

• Handle phone inquiries from potential volunteers
• Schedule and perform volunteer interviews
• Work with all departments to maintain an accurate list of available volunteer opportunities and openings
• Match potential volunteers to available volunteer opportunities based on interests, availability, and qualifications
• Work with CC staff to make sure that all forms are properly completed by new volunteers and that volunteer files are kept organized and up-to-date

Key Qualifications:

• Interested in an ongoing opportunity
• Available a minimum of two days per week, 3-5 hours per day during business hours (day/time may be flexible)
• Good interpersonal skills both in person and by phone. Able to work collaboratively with others
• Proficient computer skills, especially Word and Excel
• Management or coordinator experience preferred
• Must have reliable transportation within the city to visit off-site Fort Wayne volunteer locations
