About DAUGHTERS OF ZION MINISTRIES

Location:

21677 MELROSE AVE, SOUTHFIELD, MI 48075, US

Mission Statement

Just as 1 Timothy 2:1-2 rings out loud and clear commanding us; we the daughters are constrained to pray for all men especially those who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable lifestyle in all godliness and honesty. Our focus is on evangelism, discipleship and care for the needy. We feed the hungry both natural and spiritual food; give drink to the thirsty, water from the living well; take in the stranger and clothe him with the wrap of Jesus’ arms; visit the sick and imprisoned with healing and deliverance.

Description

The activities of the group include praying at hospitals, homes, businesses, and courthouses in the Metropolitan Detroit Area and other locations. Additional outreach activities include publishing a newsletter, conducting seminars, providing intercessory prayer training, individual and family counseling, computer training, reading and writing tutoring, food pantry, and outreach to persons who are homeless, providing food and clothing. The ministry supports individuals and organizations both financially and with prayer as directed by the Holy Spirit.

Annual highlighted activities of the ministry are Ultimate Expression of Love which is a celebration and family workshop in the month of February. The ministry observes the National Day of Prayer on the first Thursday of May to intercede for global, national and local affairs. On the first weekend of August, the ministry sponsors "I Give Myself Away" retreat in Midland, Michigan. The goal of the retreat is to provide participants with a life-changing encounter with God. The weekend includes worship services, intercessory prayer, health and healing seminars, personal time in the presence of the Lord, and much more.
