Seeking Fair Housing Testers
Fair housing testers enable us to detect housing discrimination by posing as prospective tenants and reporting on their experience. Join Project Sentinel as a Fair Housing Tester and help end discrimination in our communities!
We are seeking testers to conduct tests in person and by phone in Santa Clara County. No experience necessary --training will be provided. Testers are used on an on-call basis, and earn a stipend and mileage reimbursement depending on the type of test.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must complete tester training
- Ability to work on an on-call basis
- Ability to remain unbiased and report information objectively
- Ability to submit report form within 24 hours of test
People with fluency in Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, Tagalog, Hindi, Hmong, Farsi, and Russian are encouraged to apply.
To learn more about testing or to sign up for an upcoming tester training, contact Margarita Maiz at mmaiz@housing.org or (408) 749-1856.
