Rose of Texas

Rose of Texas Hospice provides bereavement support to our bereaved for 13 months, after thier loved ones passing. As a bereavement volunteer, you could help by working in our office with filing , making visits, assisting with the mail outs, handing out roses at the rose memoral...and so much more!

As a bereavement volunteer we would provide you with training and we are searching for volunteers with an understanding heart. Someone that can be an active listener is vital in this role as often times bereaved would like somone to talk and hear the story of their loved one.

Rose of Texas Hospice is looking for people that are interested in becoming part of our volunteer team. Opportunities include: veteran to veteran support (some veterans find it easier to talk to those that share a common tie to their specific branch), administrative support (assistance in office with filing, putting labels on paperwork, making consent packets), patient support (volunteers that travel to patient homes to visit, talk about family, look at pictures, put together puzzles, read the paper and much more), and bereavement support (assist with phone calls to bereaved, put together bereavement mail outs and more)
