This weekend is the Wellington Elementary School carnival, and it is by far the largest fundraiser that the school organizes during the school year. We need community volunteers to work 2.5 hour shifts on Saturday to run the carnival games. Last year’s carnival raised funds to purchase a computer lab that allows the students to participate in project-based learning. The carnival also replaced all the outdoor recess equipment and help fund other projects school-wide. We have two possible shifts that volunteers can sign-up for: 2-4:30 PM and 4:30-7 PM. We are in DESPERATE need of more volunteers in the 4:30-7 PM shift because very few people have signed up for that.
