Always Making Progress, Inc. (AMP) , a recently formed 501c3 nonprofit organization in Indianapolis, IN is seeking its Board of Directors for the 2017-2018 membership term. AMP requests reputable, committed, and dependable professionals who have previous experience with expertise in education, entrepreneurship, finance/accounting, technology, marketing, fundraising, human resources, etc. Candidates with notable interaction with contacts possessing valuable skill sets and other qualities needed for AMP to fully develop and implement its program components will be an asset. Potential candidates should have serious interest in the personal, socioemotional, academic, interest/talent, career, service learning and educational development of children and youth. This is a volunteer position and candidates should be committed, in good health, available and accessible to carry out their responsibilities.

AMP, Inc. is an academic enrichment program who looks to promote, encourage and enhance rising scholars. AMP’s mission is to provide students with high-quality subsidiary academic programming and services to prepare scholars for the future. AMP looks to provide a safe and positive place for youth and their families to grow and progress. While AMP focuses on academic progression and development, it also puts an emphasis on personal enhancement.

Responsibilities

• Regularly attends board meetings and important related meetings.
• Stay informed about committee matters, prepares themselves well for meetings, and reviews and comments on minutes and reports
• Must be an active participant in the committee's annual evaluation and planning efforts.
• Participate in fund raising efforts for the organization.

Qualifications:

• Passion for enhancing and advocating on the behalf of youth in the city of Indianapolis
• Desire for cultivating relationships and assist in the development of a growing organization
• Experience in the fundraising, fiscal management and governing an organization
• Displays high moral character, integrity, credibility and values that can be demonstrated through community involvement and previous experiences

Board members will have proven successes in other fields and will have the ability to attract others to serve on the board of directors.
