We're looking for a motivated program developer for STEMed Labs. In this role you'll be responsible for helping to develop and rollout new offerings for middle school students. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an early stage organization to impact an age group of students when they are making decisions that will define their future academic and career opportunities.
Specific responsibilities for this role include:
- Defining and documenting program structure
- Organizing and running pilot versions of the program
- Attending meetings with the broader program and leadership team
Qualifications:
- Previous relevant professional experience in STEM or eduation (2-3 years minimum)
- A degree and / or professional experience in STEM
- Experience working with students in a teaching or mentoring capacity
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Punctuality and professionalism
- Ability to define tasks and hit deadlines as agreed upon
- Ability to meet occasionally at our Capital Factory office
- A "get it done" attitude

STEMed Labs is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Austin, TX dedicated to improving educational opportunities in our communities. Our goal is to serve as an incubator for novel, cross-disciplinary approaches to STEM education. We partner with schools, teachers, parents, and industry to build a sustainable, grassroots model of delivering innovation in education.
