Relay For Life

This is a chance to make a real difference in your community !!!!

Relay For Life of Lincoln City is all about raising money for Cancer Research, Education, Advocacy, and Patient Services!

The Relay For Life of Lincoln City is currently looking for volunteers of all ages, experience, and commitment levels. The event is to take place September 30, 2017 from 11am-11pm at Lincoln City Cultural Center.

There are two levels of volunteer commitments:

-Planning Committee

-Day of the event help.

Planning committee needs

Publicity Help (2-3 volunteers needed)

  • Time commitment: 1-2 hours a week (through Sept 30th)
  • Access to transportation
  • Email & basic computer skills are very beneficial in this position.
  • Will work directly with ACS staff & Event Committee

The publicity committee helps brainstorm and create marketing strategies that best recruit participants and raise the most awareness in the Lincoln City area. Some examples of tasks are delivering posters to local businesses, writing press releases for area newspapers, and contacting city officials for city banners & sign staking.

Logistics Help (2-3 volunteers needed)

  • Time commitment: 1-2 hours a week (through Sept 30th)
  • Access to transportation
  • Email & basic computer skills are very beneficial in this position.
  • Will work directly with ACS staff & Event Committee

The logistics committee works with the Lincoln City Cultural Center to ensure that all logistical needs are met for the event, such as dumpsters, mobile bathrooms, signage, etc.

Sponsorship Help (2-3 volunteers needed)

  • Time commitment: 1-2 hours a week (through Sept 30th)
  • Access to transportation
  • Email & basic computer skills are very beneficial in this position.
  • Will work directly with ACS staff & Event Committee

The sponsorship committee connects with local businesses and helps them to understand how their sponsorship makes a difference in the community and why it is essential to the success of the event. Sponsorship chairs often attend Chamber meetings, make phone calls/emails/personal visits to past and future sponsors and explain the benefits of sponsoring our event. Sponsorship works closely with the ACS Staff Partner.

Team Development Help (2-3 volunteers needed)

  • Time commitment: 1-2 hours a week (through Sept 30th)
  • Access to transportation
  • Email & basic computer skills are very beneficial in this position.
  • Will work directly with ACS staff & Event Committee

The Team Development committee contacts past team members and recruits new teams, explaining the fun and benefit of being part of this global movement, but in their own community. Team Development works closely with the ACS Staff Partner.

Day of the Event Help

We always need help with set up/ registration/clean up!
