College Graduates
A group of college graduates at our annual fundraising event

First Graduate, a San Francisco-based college access and success program, will celebrate its seventh cohort of first-generation college graduates at Cap & Gown 2017 on May 18 th at the Letterman Digital Arts Center in the Presidio of San Francisco. We need your help to check in almost 400 guests!

First Graduate’s mission is to help San Francisco students finish high school and become first-generation college graduates, well prepared to start meaningful careers. We make our students a 10 year commitment - from seventh grade through college graduation - to help them succeed in school and beyond. Students receive year-round coaching, academic enrichment, family guidance, career preparation and access to college scholarships. Cap & Gown is an annual opportunity to gather the entire First Graduate family (and that includes you) to celebrate a milestone 10 years in the making - another cohort of college graduates.

Volunteers will arrive at 5:00 pm to receive an on-site training before the event begins. You will use a computer/ipad to check guests in, put credit card information on file, and assign live auction numbers. Once check-in is over, you are invited to stay for the event as our guests. Helping with cleanup (likely around 10:00 pm) is appreciated but not required.

To sign up, fill out our volunteer form at firstgraduate.org/volunteer, AND get in touch with Sara at sbohannon@firstgraduate.org. We're excited to have you join us for the best day of the year!
